This Cyclocross frame set was built to push the limits of aesthetic and function. All the "lugs" are hand made, and were added similarly to the way gussets are added. The style was based of some older methods of tube joining, most notably used by Alex Singer in the earlier part of last century. The tubing throughout the main frame is Columbus Spirit, an incredibly light and strong niobium steel. Built as a fully geared bicycle this one weighed in at just under 21 pounds, and that's with a steel fork and stem! The awesome frame finish was done by Spectrum Powder Works. It's a deep blue with subtle hints of a lighter blue and gold, and the whole bike is "shadowed" with a Celtic Knot design that hides from you until you get up close. And the best thing about this finish is that it's a powder coat, so it's really durable. Spectrum never ceases to amaze me with what they are able to do.
As soon as this bicycle is reassembled with parts I'll post more pictures. Though, there's enough eye-candy here to keep anyone occupied for a while.
