It may be tempting, but don't sit on your bike while the center stand is open. The stand is not a trainer! Sitting on the bike in this way may damage the center stand arms. When loading the bike, the weight of the load is over the wheel, tipping the bike forward or back, depending on where the load goes, so most of the weight is supported by the wheel.
